This
ensemble was patterned after a historic caraco jacket from c.

Our jacket is made from a linen rayon blend material with a
blue floral pattern, and is fully lined with a sturdy white 100% cotton
duck. The front fastens with a series of hook and eyes and is
lightly boned along the center front opening. This snug
fitting jacket is not adjustable for fit, and will accomodate a 35-36"

39" long royal blue cotton velvet petticoat and white 100% cotton
kerchief (both
are included with the jacket). The jacket fabric is no longer

|
This
jacket was patterned after a historic caraco jacket from c.
1775-85.
Our jacket is made from a shot 100% silk taffeta that is
royal purple and black with matching royal purple 100% cotton
broadclith lining throughout. There are ruffled black
embellishments at the neckline and on the sleeve, black lace at the
elbow, and black soutache braid along the hemline edge. The
front fastens with a series of hook and eyes and is lightly
boned along the center front opening and at the side front.
This snug fitting jacket is not
adjustable for fit, and will accomodate a 35-36.5" bust, to a 33"
waist,
and 12" bicep (flexed) - this garment is made for a different size than
the display mannequin, and will thus fit a human form differently due
to the "squish" factor.

This neo
Victorian style outfit was created for a short Western film project,
and is based on a historic
reference from 1897. The majority of this
outfit is made from a shot pewter colored synthetic taffeta that
'whispers' and shimmers from silver to nearly black. The bodice
sleeve cuffs and front accent pieces are made from crush resistant
black
cotton velvet, and feature decorative shiny black
buttons. The bodice has one hidden snap at the front
waistline, and features a watch or locket pocket on the left hand side
(locket or watch and chain not included). The bodice is fully
lined
with matching cotton broadcloth, but is not boned. There is a
flaw in the fabric on the right hand side of the bodice to imply damage
to the character from a previous struggle. This does not diminish
the integrity of the garment. The voluminous unlined matching taffeta skirt features a train and embroidered and beaded accent trim near the hemline. It has a tie at the waist for a bit of flexibility in fit at the waistline. There are a few small picks in the fabric near the back and a 7 shaped tear about the size of a quarter near the back hemline from on-set action. The shirtwaist is made from lavender 100% linen overlaid with embroidered 100% silk organza, and features a decorative button 'brooch' on the collar. The shirtwaist is like a false shirt front - there is a front piece, a collar, and a small amount of fabric around the shoulders and back of neck. This creates an elegant look without so many layers, thus reducing the overall bulk of the costume. There are two elastics with hook and eyes that cross over each other at the back and hold the shirtwaist comfortably in place. This outfit was not worn with a bustle in any of these pictures. While not strictly necessary to wear with this outfit, a corset, petticoat, and bustle are recommended for greater historical accuracy in garment layering and movement - but these are not included with the outfit. This ensemble has been professionally dry cleaned post production. The bodice will fit up to a 38" bust and a 30" waist. When measuring yourself to determine if this will fit, please measure over any garments you will be wearing with this outfit (i.e. corset, chemise, corset cover, etc.). The skirt measures 45" from waist to hemline at the center front, and from back waist to train hemline it measures 53". Harker Inspired Steampunk Victorian Ensemble
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() |
This neo
Victorian style outfit is based on a historic
reference from 1874 -1877 and was inspired by the character Mina Harker
from the Victorian classic "Dracula". The majority of this
outfit is made from a shot garnet colored synthetic taffeta that
'whispers' and shimmers from ruby to nearly black. The center front and center back bodice panels are made from crush resistant black velvet. The bodice buttons up the front with eight antiqued gold tone buttons with an "Art Nouveau" style frame surrounding the shiny black plastic center - this button is viewable very close up on our Buttons for Sale page. The bodice is fully lined with matte black synthetic satin, but is not boned. The unlined matching taffeta skirt has a tie at the waist for a bit of flexibility in fit at the waistline, and an arrangement of tapes that gather the skirt at the back and pull it in at the sides. There are hook and eyes on the tapes and skirt that allow the train (shown above) to be pulled up for walking (shown to the left). The final touch to this modern Victorian style ensemble is a black organza ruffled vintage scarf and a brooch with a faux red gemstone - both of these are included with this purchase. The ensemble shown here was photographed with only a small ruffled bustle underneath - it could be worn without, or with an even larger bustle for a more historic look. While not strictly necessary to wear this outfit, a corset, petticoat, and bustle are recommended for greater historical accuracy in garment layering and movement - but these are not included with the outfit. The bodice will fit between a 36"-38" bust, 29"-31" waist, 43" hip with small bustle. When measuring yourself to determine if this will fit, please measure over any garments you will be wearing with this outfit (i.e. corset, chemise, corset cover, etc.). The skirt measures 42" from waist to hemline at the center front with a train that can be worn up for walking or down for a more dramatic look. Byron, she is considered the world's first computer programmer, making
her an ideal Steampunk heroine! The majority of this outfit is made from a shot brown synthetic taffeta that 'whispers' and shimmers from bronze to nearly black. The center front and center back bodice panels are 100% silk dupioni in a golden tan color. The bodice buttons up the front with nine gold tone buttons, and features a small watch pocket on the left hand side - perfect for your dainty fob watch. (Watch and chain not included with this purchase). The bodice is fully lined with matte black synthetic satin, but is not boned. The unlined matching taffeta skirt has a tie at the waist for a bit of flexibility in fit at the waistline, and an arrangement of tapes that gather the skirt at the back and pull it in at the sides. Based
on the clothing of the Mirkwood elves, this gown was created for the
Rainfall Films "Arrival
at Esgaroth".
It has two
layers attached to one another - the underlayer is an ombre dyed satin
that is olive green at the shoulders, fading to burgundy and finally to
a deep purple at the hemline.
This exact ombre dyed fabric is no longer manufactured.
Over the satin is a translucent shimmering layer of bronze
organza embroidered overall with a leaf and vine pattern. The
front closure is held by brass filigree buttons and button loops.
The gown slips on easily over the head with a few of these
buttons undone. This elven style gown with petal
shaped
sleeves may be worn with your favorite belt or sash, or as shown here.
This unique gown itself measures 40" bust, 36" waist, 50"
hips and 59" in
length center front and 64" nape to hem as there is a small train.
Please allow a couple of inches ease above your body
measurements for a proper fit. As we have no more of this
material, we are unable to make this dress in another size.
The pictures below show this gown in different lighting conditions so you can see how the gown shimmers in the light. To see this elven inspired dress in action, please view the Rainfall Films Showreel here. Film stills (c) Rainfall Films and used here with permission. |

| This
outfit was created from a vintage 1940's
pattern with a futuristic twist. The unlined skirt and jacket set were
made from a synthetic
shot taffeta that shimmers between peacock blue and emerald green and
rustles when it moves. The
matching emerald green hat with veil was found after the fact, and is
from the same time period. The jacket will fit up to a 37" bust. The skirt has a waist measurement of 28", hips are 36" and it is 30" long. This outfit was used one time for modeling, and is not constructed in exactly the same way we normally would (with lining and super picky detail) due to time constraints. Therefore it is being offered as is at a reduced rate. Please be sure to carefully compare your measurements with those noted above, as All Sales Are Final - contact us with any questions.
