Jedi Robes

Jedi robes feature oversized hoods and bell sleeves and are available in brown or black. These unlined robes have open fronts and no front closures. If you need a closure at the neckline, please contact me. The Robes Measurement Blank chart is located on the Custom Orders page.

These in stock Jedi robes are intended to be 'generic' Sith and Jedi style. For a specific character style or if unique details required for your robe, please contact me for a custom order. Robes with shoulder tucks are significantly more expensive due to additional fabric requirements and labor time, therefore they are available only as a custom order. Most fabrics used in the original films are no longer manufactured, but reasonably similar fabrics may be available depending on the season.

Medium weight wool flannel is similar to what was used in the films, has a depth of color and texture, and is warm and naturally moisture and wrinkle resistant. Wool is dry clean only. I do not make robes from heavy coat weight wool melton. It does not pleat or drape well for this style, and is too hot and heavy for most of my customers. Unlike the wool flannel, 100% cotton twill is similar in weave and weight to trouser/pants fabric, is machine washable, but does not have the same flow and drape as wool flannel does. Cotton twill has a slight surface sheen and likely will require more ironing.
